PHASES had executed 2 live shows + marketing in worlds of dark: night and winter. For our spring show we intended to bring a breath of fresh air and light to our show experience and branding.
For the seasonal imagery we chose to shoot a blush pink seamless paired with nude costumes to wink at the themes of birth, rebirth and renewal.
The hero image was brought to life by designer Alison Pond, who ran with a vision I had of poles being the stems of giant flowers and references to a playful Willy Wonka vibe.
She nailed it, utilizing inspiration from iridescent plastic film and incorporating florals in a way that were “real” but completely unnatural to mimic the metal of the pole.
The result felt perfectly whimsical.
Unfortunately, we brought production of the show + marketing materials to a halt with the 2O2O pandemic. We were limited to executing a few social posts announcing the cancellation of our show and a calendar of pole events and classes within our community throughout the month of May.
