Eve Ensler, acclaimed author of The Vagaina Monologues, released the book I am an Emotional Creature, The Secret Lives of Girls Around the World in February 2010. The book is a collection of fictional monologues, inspired by young girls’ struggles in today’s society. Many of the books monologues connected strongly to the messages of MTV’s “It’s Your Sex Life” and “Digital Abuse” pro-social campaigns.

With the collaborative efforts of MTV, Eve Ensler, and the participation of actresses Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) and Rosario Dawson (Sin City) I worked to create an on-air campaign that brought these monologues to life and dove into a deeper look at the text. The promos successfully brought awareness to the MTV audience about subjects like safe sex, sexual pressure, digital and dating abuse.

As a young women, I was honored and humbled to work on such an important campaign, making it the body of work I am most proud of.

The campaign was recognized at the Creativity Media and Interactive Awards with a Platinum Honor for Public Service TV campaign.
