America's Best Dance Crew returned to MTV after a hiatus to bring a pool of winning crews back to battle it out at the 2015 VMAs.

With an incredibly tight deadline and no budget for casting, I built a crew through friends. I managed to land a talented group of NYC dancers and choreographer Amy Seccada. Together, we put dance front and center.

I worked closely with the design team to incorporate chroma key compositing and utilize as many intricate and colorful textures as we could to align with the style of the 2015 VMA campaign.

On set, all hands were on deck with producers, art directors, and myself involved in cutting up fabrics, swapping out clothing and accessories, and painting objects to help art and wardrobe dress our dancers in keyable elements. The shoot was a wild success and the design team rocked out the post work in record time. In other words, we turned up.
